  • Foods that are rich in iron and folic acids, such as meat, cereals, beans, dark green leafy vegetables, bread, and fruits
  • Foods that are rich in vitamin B12, such as milk and its derivatives, as well as soy-based foods, such as tempeh and tofu
  • Fruits that are rich in vitamin C, such as oranges, melons, tomatoes, and strawberries

Blood pressure that is too low or hypotension can cause a block in the amount of blood flowing to the brain and other vital organs, such as the kidneys. This condition then causes symptoms to appear, such as light-headedness and dizziness. Normal blood pressure ranges between 90/60 mmHg and 120/80 mmHg. A person can be said to suffer from low blood pressure if his blood pressure is below this range. Changes in blood pressure are normal because blood pressure is influenced by many factors, such as heredity or age.

The main methods of treating hypotension are dietary and lifestyle changes, such as:

  • Increase fluid consumption, because fluids can increase blood volume and help prevent dehydration
  • Exercise regularly to increase blood pressure
  • Using special stockings (compression stockings) on the legs to improve blood flow
